This is the ONLY reason I would consider a SYNC3 update...

Basically 95% done, download from google play store. About time. Hate google maps.
About damn time. Too bad Android Auto or whatever its called is horrible. No interaction with Sync3 makes it a pain to use.. I use thumb drives for music, so I constantly have to switch between the AA and Sync3 screens; even when back in Sync3 the steering wheel controls are still directed to AA. AA does not appear to work through BT, so I'm forced to go wired every time.

I wish theyd just implement an Android emulator into the main system and allow us to replace the Sync3 map with Waze. Im sure it wouldn't run any slower.
