I washed my car yesterday and wasn't able to dry it right away. Anyway, it left water spots everywhere. I've tried hitting them with detail spray and a microfiber and that didn't work...I also tried a clay bar in a spot and that didn't help either. I'm wondering if I have to polish the car now? Or should I be able to use some of the Chemical Guys wax stripper and then just re-wax the car after? Would the water spots be in the wax, or do you think it made it down to the paint?

Probably have to wet sand the whole car with 3000 grit and polish. jk

Wash it again, dry it immediately and see of it gets the spots out.

Thank's. I took it a step further and used Chemical Guys clean slate to wash the car, dried it, then waxed it. It looks good now, but the light was low. I guess I'll know for sure when the sun comes up tomorrow.

Ok, I've gotta ask since I've never heard this before.... why? lol

Curious if this is for regular washes or some kind of "stain removal" process because the water out here in AZ is HARD and full of minerals. I feel like the Flash trying to dry my car fast enough so I avoid water spots.

I am a detailer on weekends and I use this method to remove hard or stubborn water spots that can't be removed by clay bar or paint correction. Works on basically any surface that has water spots

Thanks, good to know. Do you rewash the whole car like this or mix it in a spray bottle and use it as like a quick detailer?

Wash car, spray water spots and scrub with microfiber, may take some elbow grease and may have to repeat just depends how bad they are then re wash

I wouldnt do the vinegar trick too often, it can also strip any wax and sealant off if left on too long or done too often

OK thanks. Hopefully the Clean Slate wash did the trick. I really don't feel like having to wash and wax for the 3rd time in 3 days. I guess I'll know if they're gone when the sun comes up. I'm not sure I'd ever buy a black car again. haha
