If only that were the case. Regardless if any soap was used or not, there will still be standing water, so it's not a case of rinsing well enough. That's not pooling. You used too much soap, or didn't rinse well enough. The suds just need to be rinsed out. Take you hose and gently rinse the soap out from behind the tail lights and all will be well.

I don't see it really being an issue. I just thought it was odd for Ford not to have it drain behind the tail lights, which prompted this thread to see if it is by design or possibly an issue.I don't see the problem, I think every single car made today is going to have water left in those areas after rain or a car wash. I've just made it a point to go over those areas better when drying.
I had a clog in the drains behind the taillights in my S197. It resulted in rain water backing up and pouring into the trunk. That's different from what I am seeing in the pictures though, I see some drops of water that are spread out and not a pool of water.I had a clog in the drains behind the taillights in my S197. It resulted in rain water backing up and pouring into the trunk. That's a problem.
Thats a good idea, noticed that myself. Except...lets use that painters blue tape.FYI
After washing my vehicle, I open the hood, water came pouring out from under the hood liner, that was trapped due to water entering the heat extracting vents on the hood.
Guess I'm going to have to carry a roll of duct tape for washing.
My GT Prem does trunk area does the same thing, my door sills do this as well.Anyone else notice on their Mustang that water pools around the trunk area? Noticed it when I was drying the car off after washing it. I figured it would drain somewhere, but it just sits there.
Don't have my car yet. Can you describe what you would tape to prevent the water drain OP described??Thats a good idea, noticed that myself. Except...lets use that painters blue tape.
Agreed?
The hood vents are what need taped.Don't have my car yet. Can you describe what you would tape to prevent the water drain OP described??
