Water in trunk lip?

I've done that to more than one light, usually a headlight. Works great, it even helps with condensation if there's not enough to slsh.o

Older cars used to have sealed lights but when they got old and the seals fail the lights fill with water. Newer designs have vents which allow evaporation but it does mean you get some condensation even from new.
