Dont think anyone is saying that. Just that you expect less when you are paying 35k for a car that can compare to a 50k car.

The corsa is irrelevant. Its 12k for a 12k car. The Mustang has the preformace and style of a 50 k car for 35k.

Should there be issues no
Do you expect a few more issues based on price, yes

I dont give a dam. I havent even looked for bonnet pinch, rear panel alignment and all that. It is just an awesome car!

Coming down your way Steve from Monday for a week, in the tourer. Staying at Normanhurst Estate, Battle.. Will look out for you.. Should be able to hear you from up the cliffs there Lol..!!

I have a scuff on the chrome insert at the top of the drivers door (I imagine from some loader in Baltimore sticking their arm through the window with a rough coat on).

Not sure whether I can be bothered to get it replaced due to the wait for the parts an possible damage done in replacing it!?

There does seem to be a lot of defects on these cars. It's ridiculous to say that because you get a lot of 'bang for your buck' on these cars that it should somehow excuse poor build quality. Never had any of these issues with Fiesta and Focus ST, including panel alignment etc.

For starters, you probably don't look for them on a Fiesta/Focus etc. Seconds - we're literally looking for issues with the car, the smallest thing on a forum blows up to be the biggest issue since ISIS. We're perfectionists and car nuts, with an almost unmatchable 'perfect' profile for the car - as with everything, there will be issues. Nothing is perfect, not the Bugatti Chiron, not a ÂŁ500 banger, and not a ÂŁ40m old 'Rari. Issues with everything that's built.

But yes, the panel alignment has sucked, see mine in about 40mins so will see how mine is lol.

So how long do I have to wait for the 1st report on your car, or is there going to be a live feed :D

I haven't found much to complain about as yet, but I don't doubt I will. The question is whether it will be serious enough to warrant (!) having the dealership fix it. The tear in the boot seal will get worse if not attended to and the lock cover would no doubt fall off so I would have issues like this dealt with. Minor scuffing though; I'd be wary of them damaging other stuff in the process of fixing.

Where was your damaged Cati?
big gaps in the chrome trim by the above the pillar between rear window and sharp edges

Looks shite - told them to fit the black surround or get a new one that fits - probably get it hydro dipped before going on

I'm with you on this......if they say it's a simple swap, I'll go with it, but if it means glass removal or possible damage to paint or trim, I'll live with it:)

Ah - that's been the case on every single one I've seen (mine included, though it's better than most) - even the motorshow prepped cars!
