When I had my RX8, Mazda sent me an offer of fourth and fifth year warranty, approaching the cars third anniversary.

The prices quoted for the Ford warranty aren't too bad, but I find it a tad implausible that you would need to commit to it on day one. I suppose that it's another way to get £500 out of you.

It's something that Ford directly would need to clear up, as I wouldn't totally trust this sort of info from a salesman.

I'm wondering if its any time up to the first anniversary of its registration. A car doesn't have a first date of registration; it only has one date of registration.
The Mustang extended warranty has to be taken at time of purchase (so first registration). My dealer has agreed with Ford that I can still purchase the extended warranty as it was not available when I purchased my Mustang.

Tbh it might be worth the money but I don't like being railroaded into buying it day 1. Every other car has warranties that can be extended for a fee during ownership. I don't see why this one is special.
