Did anyone take out the extended warranty (currently lists as £540 for an extra two years)?

Any thoughts on whether its worth it?

You can purchase it after your current warranty is up, no reason to purchase it now. Its also negotiable in price here

I can guess the way the negotiations would go over here...
Best bet is wait til they f*ck something up and then get it as compo.

I'm not aware that the price is negotiable in the UK, and according to the price list, Ford extended warranty plans can be purchased any time up until the vehicle's first date of registration.

I purchased mine when I bought the car.

I've got it. £540 for an additional 2 years peace of mind makes sense to me.

My dealer had to apply to Ford for me to purchase the extended warranty which was not announced when I took deliver of the car.

The smallest fault is increasing likely to occur after 3 years of ownership and could easily cost more than the extended warranty price so the extended warranty is a no brainer for me especially as it is transferrable.

The price of the extended warranty goes straight to Ford so no negotiation possible with dealer. You could consider a dealer 3rd party aftermarket warranty but is it likely to cover everything that Ford covers on the standard warranty and be hassle free?

I understand its not necessarily a 'point of sale' add on, especially as it wasn't even available at the time many of us received our cars.

Extended warranty with Ford is as good as a chocolate tea pot. They've been crap to many people on here. Wouldn't waste the money personally!

Ford quoted me £915 for three services.

I told them to poke it.
