I prefer "the sleeper look" myself. The less aggressive a car looks, the faster one can drive without drawing unwanted attention.
For just being a Mustang in the UK, it'll ensure that it can never have a "sleeper look" :p. So might as well make it look the part.

You better sit in a C6 before deciding to buy one.

The seats are really THAT BAD, and the entire interior is K Mart grade.

I bought a then new '09 C6 Z51. It was THE WORST car I've ever owned, and I dumped it after just three months of problems and disgust. It felt more like a kit car than an actual automobile.

I'm not on my 2nd GTI (a 2013 Autobahn model) and love it. I'm almost certainly going to replace it with the an all new model next year.

But I'm a going to check out an Ecoboost Mustang (wit Recaros and the performance package) first.

Hey man, thanks for the very blunt and honest opinion. I sincerely mean that. I've been on the fence about whether it would be a decent car for me, and it's always good to hear an unvarnished opinion of someone who's owned one.

I really do like the new GTI. Sat in one at the Chicago auto show and loved the quality feel of the interior. Plus they have some good performance upgrades for the new model year and a decent aftermarket too. It's definitely in contention.

I drove my first '15 GTI today. It was a silver 6 speed manual. Phenomenal drive.; it made my '13 Autobahn (with just 16K miles on the clock) seem like an old car.

There are faster cars on the road than GTIs, but the entire package is very hard to beat - great seats, awesome fit and finish, fantastic ride/handling compromise.

Stay away from C5 and C6 Corvettes. They're junk, albeit fast junk. I sold mine after just 3 months of ownership, and it was the best $13K I've ever lost. I was actually THRILLED to take the loss, and I'm not joking.

"Ford says it will divulge output numbers for the 2.3L EcoBoost around September. Until then, the automaker merely promises at least 305 hp and 300 lb.-ft. (407 Nm) of torque."

I don't see why the other models would be any different, this could turn into another 3-4 month wait for specs on these new cars. I'd like to think that I'm a patient man, but this is getting out of hand. If I have to wait until September to see some specs I'll just wait some more and see what Camaro comes out with. I like their body style and if they can drop some weight and fix their visibility issues I'd be down for an SS.

Heck, if they wait until September don't even bother releasing anything. Just let the 2015 Mustang owners dyno and weigh theirs. At that point I'd rather hear it from them rather than hear it from Ford...

drove a 15 gti? how did you do that, who do you know?

amazing how many gti owners we have here..

if they dont allow the nannys to be turned off the 15 gti will not be in my choice of two. the other being the ecoboost.
