Definitely nice seeing more and more on the road :) Saw a guard mustang heading south on South West Highway just past Byford yesterday had to have a double look at the plates to make sure someone hadn't stolen mine as I live in Byford ha ha.

A bit off topic but is anyone planning on heading down to the classic car show at whiteman park this sunday? I saw a brief mention of it on the classic stang site the other week and would be surprised if there aren't any new stangs knocking about the place going off the south perth bash recently.

Here's the info;

Might have to head over for a bit of a drive :headbang::headbang:

It's an 'all breed' car show, so lots of eye candy - but no, don't want my new pony being pawed by general public. Feeling very protective of her after waiting so long. Silly I guess but that's just me. This is not just a 'car'. These are so special.
The triple yellow I saw this morning Jumby, in Mandurah,had the body stripes on too.

18.3 km @ delivery.

The car is fantastic - I can't get over how it squats and boogies. It's very muscle car feeling, and yet i found myself playing with the menus, settings and voice activated controls. A tasty mix of old school and new tech.

What a car :eyebulge:
Have you flicked "mode" to track and let it loose as yet Art ?

Good point Ann re pawing it's a valid concern and yes they are very special. Great to hear another triple yellow with stripes is getting around. In another week or so mine are all coming off and being replaced by a much better alternative as well as side graphics. Factory stripes were disappointing as they had managed to trap dust under them, as well as failing to properly align the strip's on the bonnet lip:paddle::paddle::paddle:

That is disappointing, especially being a factory job. Where are you getting the stripes done?

Not yet no. I am in the process of requesting quotes. I know it's approx. $3K cheaper to pick the coloured vinyl here in WA - but it's not as thick as the clear vinyl. If I go with the coloured vinyl there is a huge assortment of colours but I'd choose pearl white. It's about $2380 for all the partial bits I want covered by the clear, but that still leaves along the doors unprotected from door damage in carparks (my daily drive). I will keep you posted.

Ok cheers. So expensive. I think I will go that opti coat pro with freedom care care in Quinns Rocks. They want about $1100 not including interior. Do you think paint protection is worth it?

I definitely think paint protection is worth it. I got mine done with Gen 3 Glasscoat - similar product to Opti Coat - developed by NASA and endorsed by Boeing. Lifetime warranty also. and so glossy and easy to keep clean. Hubbies Mustang was done last year with Body Armour 9H but the car detailer that did it, buffed too much on the Cervini body kit (plastic) and so you can see scuff marks if you know where to look. I think the most important thing is where/who does the paint protection. Needs to be dust free environment and an experienced person doing the job.

After just reading a reply from tantash to a PM, it would seem that there is some kind of W.A. tax coming into play here.

100% correct Anne...the finish is only as good as the preparation....the best product will look crap if the colour correction is not done properly.
