from what i understand from the Larkin web site you mount the base plate to the bumper using the screws they supplied. Is this correct
Yes.

and do the Mustang have metal screw threads in the bumper already?
No.

There are recessed dimples on the front bar and protruding hole guides on the rear bar which need to be drilled with a 3mm drill bit.

Hi Guys

has anyone applied stripes to their cars once landed. I am thinking of twin solid white stripes with red piping on a DIB. Can anyone recommend a company in Sydney, Parramatta area and west?
cheers

As for Sam, he's the owner. Used to be a client of mine. Does great vinyl work.

He's in Seven Hills if I recall correctly.

Drew has answered the questions.

I'll just add though that the Ford brackets come with threaded fasteners - these are bigger than the screws Lakin provides so just tell your dealer not to mount the Ford brackets and not to drill the mounting points on the bumpers.

So realistically day of delivery you shoot up and fit this yourself?

Or do what I did and rock up with bunnings zip ties. Put a cloth in front of the pony emblem for protection. Zip tie the plates to the grille and decide what to do at home

Some from here have literally done that.

Some dealers, like mine, listen and just use some double sided tape and offset the plates from centre, and then we install our brackets at home.

I requested my Dealer not to drill any holes or fit the Number Plates.

I took a Battery Drill, 3.0 mm Drill Bit and a Phillips Head Screwdriver.

It took less than 5 minutes to fit each Lakin Bracket and the Number Plates.

Ladies & gents, just gauging interest in another meet. How do people feel about Sunday August 14th, at Homebush again?
Tight for me too, due into the dealership on the Friday so I don't expect it to be ready until the week after. I might have to be 'billy no car' again!

Sun 21st would be better for the Fidelio cars - but hey there is always next time!
