Currently loving the stage 1, I can't imagine how happy I'll be with the stage 2!

Wonder if the guys who ordered the Full Race EFR 7163 kit @ $5k are going to ask for a refund and get the VTT Stage 2 turbo....
Well for the 5k it comes with their intercooler, intake and downpipe also. The turbo itself is around $2k too.

There's a lot of R&D costs, production costs, etc., on everything in the kit. $5k isn't bad for all that stuff, but I think an option like this VTT S2 is going to be a very hot seller for the price point they're hitting.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the intro package we will be offering. We agree R&D costs always need to be factored into any price point. We have spent our second highest R&D budget to date on this turbo after the Custom Cast BMW turbos we just released. We believe in this platform, and spent the money to try to do what we thought would be a very attractive option for a lot of people. The proof will be in the pudding, we will see how it performs when the chips are down!

So if its not based on the stock turbo, will you guys still offer a core refund if we send the stock turbo back? Maybe a partial turbo refund?
Also, I really hope you guys offer dyno numbers on pump gas and not include meth injection and e30/e85 only. Let us real world drivers see what kind of number increase we will see. Everyone always post high HP numbers on E30 and E85 and its cool and all, but us daily drivers that just use pump gas, which im sure are a lot of us, would like to see the advantage from just a turbo swap and not a full blown e30/meth add ons.

We clearly state above which fuels we will be testing on, and we most likely are going to discontinue stage 1 if this performs how we hope, so we will have no need for stock turbo cores. Sorry..:(

Would an aftermarket intake be necessary with the stage 2? In keeping with a completely stock appearance, I would like to retain the factory intake with a drop in filter and a 3" catted downpipe into the stock exhaust. I already have the Mishimoto IC. On 93 octane, what kind of numbers should one expect? I understand that would leave some power on the table, which I'm OK with, as long as there are no ill effects.

You can run any intake you choose, but by doing so expect to leave power on the table, with each component you do so with, might flow less, or be more restictive. As far as what to expect, we have no idea we haven't even started testing the unit yet. We will begin next Thursday when Adam returns, in the meantime, I'll run our 91 only map, swap the turbo on, and see what gains we get, then I'll do the same with E30. Once Adam returns, we will do a 93 only map, and 100% E85 map with port injection. At that point we will know what kind of power to expect
