It may not currently be a production engine, however it is a Ford Factory Retail engine - so the technology exists, and your BOSS example is further evidence of that - although not in official guise with aftermarket mods. Not a production engine.
You can get 500+ out of a Boss with aftermarket parts pretty easily, but production engines tend to be detuned to be much safer for the idiots that will run low grade fuel, drive them into the ground in extreme heat, cold, etc, and for warranty and durability purposes.
Sorry I should have clarified, although I ASSumed it obvious, I'm talking PRODUCTION engine. It may not currently be a production engine, however it is a Ford Factory Retail engine - so the technology exists, and your BOSS example is further evidence of that - although not in official guise with aftermarket mods.
The issue was is it possible to achieve 500hp from a N/A 5.2L.
Potential or possible Production Engine.Sorry I should have clarified, although I ASSumed it obvious, I'm talking PRODUCTION engine.
