i have a 20 gt pp1 car which has 900 miles on it today. when i first got it i installed 25mm spacers hub centric of course and it drove great. i then purchased a pair of 20 mm spacers again hub centric because i thought the rear wheels poked just a wee bit too much. after installing them i noticed today at 80mph and above a slight vibration not in the wheel but in my seat. it really feels like its coming from the rear seats.
could the 20 mm spaces just not fit that well? i read the reviews on them and they said they fit pp1 wheels but right now not sure what else it could be. i am going to remove them and put the 25 mm spacers back on it friday but just curious as to what you all think.

yep thats the answer. just wont have time until friday. hopefully that fixes it and i will just deal with the poke in the back. the fronts look great with 25 mm.

yeah its going to be in the garage until i can get the old pair back on. i was able to torque both the spacers and the wheels to spec but i dont want to risk converting it into a slingshot on the freeway.

couldn't wait until Friday so I swapped back to the 25's this afternoon and sure enough it was the spacers. I can say 20's do not fit on pp1 wheels, they seem like they do but the lug hits the pocket when torqued down. this is why I prefer lugbolts.

Good thing you felt that vibration. That could've ended badly.

everything I have heard about the 20mm spacer you must trim the wheel studs som they dont poke into the wheel and not let the hub ring center correctly

Or just buy wheels with the proper offset....
Not possible if you want to rotate your wheels. Or if you want better fitment from your PP wheels.

Of course track width affects handling and tire wear which is the compromise for vanity

Yes, offset is a better way to go.
