I'm no sound expert or anything. I picture the rasps as "smoke rings" traveling down the exhaust. If you put your resonators closer up to the engine. It will distort the "smoke rings" (soundwaves) but they will still have a chance to reconstruct as they travel the long amount of tubing behind them. Putting the resonators at the end allows the distortion to happen and not have time to reconstruct. This is how I picture it and may have zero merits to it

Back when i was running Corsa Xtremes I had them welded right after the mufflers before the x, similar to the pic below:

How did this work for you?
So Corsa Xtremes were great when stock. After adding long tubes the tone got so trumpety I could not stand it. The 1794s killed the trumpet tone, reduced some rasp and volume a bit. I ultimately cut off the Corsa Mufflers and 1794s and added AWE Touring mufflers to change it up but for the cost the 1794s did the job.

Not that my advice is worth shit.. but I'd weld them in AFTER the x or h.. can't remember what you're using.

All opinions are welcome, and i respect your advice and opinions on many threads that i read.

Anyways, so you would do it kind of like AZ18yote above?

Mine are welded in right after the X-pipe. I have Roush axle backs, but still stock cats/headers. They greatly reduced rasp, but it can still get raspy at high RPM levels.

Couple pics of my setup before i get them welded. Thinking around where i have the resonator set will be best? Not sure i wanna weld it to the x pipe in case i ever want to change to an H. And idk how well itll fit closer to the mufflers. Thoughts?

The further downstream should have the most effect if that matters.

Yeah! I was considering that too just wasnt sure if it would be able to line up well or not. But if itll line up ok near the muffler ill probably do that
