installing vibrant resonators (1794) soon. people that have done this before..

where did you put it on your exhaust? and did you clamp them? or weld them?

im thinking weld them, right before the x/h pipe in the exhaust (make it part of the MAK cat deletes.). am i thinking correctly? or am i off?

any advice is appreciated!

all the photos ive ever seen of them are welded. unless you want a removable point in that exhaust.

I think its going to depend on what xpipe you have. I would place them after the xpipe if you can. I went with these and will be installed right after the Borla Switchfire. They are a mini race muffler.

Weld them in towards the rear portion of the midpipe wherever you have enough room with.

I have the Steeda Axle backs and they are loud like the Roush, doing the same thing for mine as its raspy as hell after 4k rpm.

Im torn between that and on the MAK cat delete pipe. This is good if i never plan on changing the x pipe. Ill have to check again how much room mine has. Thanks for the pic! How did it help on your setup?

I didnt feel comfortable putting them where my mak cat deletes are. The straight run wasnt long enough IIRC

I had cat deletes, h pipe, and active exhaust. Part throttle was tooo raspy. It got rid of almost all the rasp but only took the sound level down just a tad. Exactly what I was wanting

Good info!! Honestly ill probably just bring both to my muffler guy and see what he thinks is best.

Glad to hear though! That would be perfect

Mine (2.5") are welded in just before the diff. They eliminated the raspiness but kept 99% of the decibel level. I do not have headers.
