Serious question for our vendors: What will it take to make a zero drop spring that is stiffer than factory?
Seen quite a few guys wanting a better handling car but not want to drop down. I am one of those guys. First, my rationale is I hate, hate, hate (did I mention hate) scrapping my car. So far, factory height hasn't scrapped once.
The other issue I have is suspension geometry. Lowering the car changes how things line up. Yes they can be brought back to factory spec but my understanding is it takes more adjustment to get it there.
So back to my question. What will it take? Is it advisable? Alot of the lowering I see is for reduction of fender gap, I haven't seen people concerned with high Cg on the car and I don't know how many drive fast enough to benefit from the aerodynamic benefit. I also wonder if you had the same spring rates at factory height and at a lower stance, how much performance is gained/lost due to height.
Anyways, enough rambling. Anyone game for a discussion?
