Just to add a bit more useful info to this thread.

Manufacturer recommended tires/wheels for 20":

FRONT 20 x 9 265/35/20 ET 45
REAR 20 x 10 285/35/20 ET48

Meaning 20mm front track increase. 6mm rear track increase.

So we are definitely well within the clear. No certifications required.

that is interesting. the ADRs are specified here, doesn't mention anything about manufacturer "recommended" only maximum

http://www.rms.nsw.gov.au/documents/roads/safety-rules/standards/vsi-09-rev4.pdf

also my calculations were off with your wheels, without tyres they poke out 20mm each side, so 40mm total before tyres are included

Lol 40? All good anyways dude. I've checked this morning with my mechanic. He does certifications, all good for the wheels. They are well within RTA specs. No paperwork needed.

Here's the exact 19 to 20 differences:

19 to 20.webp

20 with 20.webp

As you can see, poke is 10mm per side for the front.

After being confused, I searched the definition of wheel track and it is simply the Centre to Centre of the wheels on the same axle. Therefore Wheel offset would be the only influence on Track unless you use spacers. So your VMB9s should only alter track by 20mm and 14mm front and back respectively (outwards), (If your data on offset is accurate). Tyre width does not alter Track if they bulge symmetrically. There are other rules limiting tyre width as explained by others here. So looking further, a 275mm front tyre would poke outwards 20mm (10 for offset and 10 for the tyre) more than stock and no internal protrusion. The 295mm rear would poke outwards 17mm more than stock. Should look good. I hope this is accurate.

Edit
I was so slow in my analysis that that hybrid has trumped me with a sophisticated modelling tool. Oh deer

Yes, the stock and aftermarket offsets are all accurate. I sent through the info to my mech. He said they are 100% fine.
