That sucks. It's never worth it to escalate a situation further than it's already progressed. You'll never know how it ends unless you end it right then and there.

Hope it works out for you OP!

Sorry about your bad luck , karma will get em one day but for now all you can do is fill out a police report ,and call your insurance company . Time to get that new stalker hood n front fascia you've been wanting. Next time get the license #.

Would have already called the police. Had a dude leave a note on my car just making threats and I filled a report.

Anyone who would damage someone property to get back at them is a lowlife punk anyway.

Is it just the hood and fender that got hit? Better than a lot of paint damage. How did they know where the car was? See you pull into there?

Back in 2009, I bought a real nice 96 Thunderbird with a 4.6 and many mods...it was an absolute dream, considering where I started a couple years before. I was a security guard in a gated community in a little central CA town called discovery bay. I also lived in that town. There was a kid who lived in that neighborhood, who had some friends with a black charger. They got pissed at me at one point over who knows what...First they vandalized the building and the patrol truck, next day, they hit my car with a brick, all over the hood, and got a chunk of the fender.

About a month later, I pull in to NAPA auto parts to buy a PCV valve and other misc. stuff...those guys and the dude who was friends with them and lived in that neighborhood were in the parking lot...the guy who lived in the neighborhood came over and talked to me "hey, what happened to your car?!"

I never let on that I knew it was him. karma is absolutely real, and they get theirs at some point.

I would put a GT hood on there just to feel like I at least got some customization for the hassle.

Back in the day I really let this guy have it in a street race with my 5.0 and then went to Home Depot as I was renovating my house. I loved that car and always parked it away from anything and anyone. Came back and the guy must have followed me back there because he took one of those large rolling dollies for moving 4X8 sheet rock and smashed it into the side of my car. Man I was pissed  but that is part of the game.

I sometimes keep body damage around. Sort of like dueling scars. See a fast car with scrapes, dents and aggressive driving “memorabilia” then I suggest you stay away as this guy is fearless. I had this really hot chick with me one time and every guy in a performance car had it in for me as I had the car and the gal. We parked and when I came back there was this really deep scratch right across the hood where I would always notice it. So I just made sure the exposed metal in the scratch was covered and left the noticeable scratch as is. Every time I saw it I remembered that I had the girl they could not get - and that always made me smile. I know, I am funny that way...

Or...

If by some chance the perp were to slip and fall hitting the hood with his head on the other side leaving another dent. I would keep everything as is. Lovingly waxing and polishing it all to bring out the sparkle and shine!

But that’s just me... :D

I would rent a bulldozer and demolish their house when their not home, seems like a fair trade off to me.

So sorry to see this man, you must be gutted. The lowlife that did this clearly has no respect for other peoples property! Shame it wasn't an impression of his face indented in your hood (that would be a small compensation).Lets pray the culprit pays a hefty price for his criminal actions! Hope you get it sorted brother it's a beautiful looking car.

That's horrible bro, agreed maybe avoiding a public confrontation like that would of been the better way out but it still does not give someone the right to do something like that. Hope you figure it out soon, that's a huge dent.

I want to know what the OP did to make someone come bash his car.

Always a flip side to every story.

In our neighborhood, we had a couple of genius kids who decided to pour house paint all over a car on the next street. What they did not know is they were caught on someone's security cam. They also did not realize that the damage they did totaled the car. The young men were picked up and charged with a felony. It can get real pretty quick.

That really sucks OP! I recently installed a Garmin dash cam 45 in my car with the parking mode cable and it's been picking up a lot of activity while parked. Nothing worth posting here, but it certainly would have captured whoever did that. After you get the car fixed, it might be worth investing into a dash cam in case this happens again.
