What the hell are you talking about? He never threw it at the car. He placed it on the cowl area still upright.
you forget, he was back the following day, to do what?
You find most criminals start off small, get some confidence than go for bigger things. the drink thing was a test to see if he would get caught, that is why he looked around all the time, than after the drink incident, he just slowly walked away hands in pockets,
you have to slap people down, before they get to confident and go onto do more damage
he wanted to do damage that was step 1, what would have been step 2

"Placed," "threw," "sat down," "laid," "tossed," "spilled," whatever, the end result was the same. If you couldn't understand my meaning it's no wonder you're arguing with everyone in this topic. The semantics you're getting in such a fit over is purposeless though. The OP's car was trashed, and that's THE ONLY thing that matters. Give the guy some support and stop being so contentious.
The car was not trashed, stop exagerrating.

He was about to pour it on there and then threw it on the hood/windshield which resulted in soda getting all over the window/hood.

It's vandalism...just move on man...the guy DID NOT have permission to throw his soda cup nor put soda on the guys Mustang.
Again wtf are you talking about? Why dont you watch the video. You are wrong 110%.

Any one who says this isn't Vandalism, Will you mind if I go pour my soda over your car and 'place' the container on your hood and windshield? It's not Vandalism right? No damage right?
He didnt pour any soda on the car!!!! Wtf is wrong with you people?

I did not forget that at all. Ive even said countless times that the guy is a 110% douchebag. I agree that 99.9999999% chance he was casing it to do vandalism. BUT, on that video he never actually vandalized anything. Would I be pissed? Hell yeah! Would I throw it back at him? Hell yeah!

I'm starting to wonder if you're the guy in the video. If you can't see him intentionally splash his drink on the car and the liquid running down the windshield something is wrong with your eyes

I would be pissed

You can clearly tell he poured the drink on the car not a lot but definitely did, just placing the cup wouldn't of made a splash like that unless he slammed it which he didn't he tilted it to purposely spray it on the car and OP said it got on her paint as well and baked for 8hours but I'm not sure that would do damage though

Awh man those 10 seconds or so he disappears was the scariest, my thoughts were he was keying the side of her car

How do you know he didn't pour any of it on the driver's side of the car, off camera? Only the OP would be able to see the after effects and may be what she's commenting on.
We dont, and I never said otherwise. I was basing my comments on the video alone from a legal perspective.

LOL. It's reassuring to know that, no matter what forum you go to, these kind of threads always spiral off into la-la land.

This is my opinion only: OP posted this thread because she was upset that someone, unprovoked and for no apparent reason, did something to her car.

I am in the camp that I would have been upset if it was my car, simply because some asshat did something unnecessary that, at the most, might have caused damage; at a minimum, it caused the owner to take extra steps to remove some crap from her car.

In my mind, it's about intent (no, I am not a lawyer); from watching the video, it seems clear that asshat intended harm to the vehicle. I mean, it's not like he left a note on the windshield telling her how beautiful her car is; he left trash on her vehicle and, if it were mine, I'd be pissed as well.

Hell, I was pissed to come out of a concert and find that someone had used the bed of my pickup as a trashcan for their crap and I had a bedliner; it's about not having respect for someone else's property.

Those of you who agree, fine; those of you who disagree, fine.

But, ask yourself, when was the last time that someone on the internet actually changed your mind about something? Especially by degrading you, or calling you names?

Stuff like this pisses me off. I came out from my parents work once visiting family (I park like 100 ft from anyone) and there was literally spit all over the car like people took turns spitting on it. Just the other day out from the store there was a whole bunch of back and forth scratches on the side... I just don't understand...

People like the guy in the video usually end up torturing animals. And you know what they say those people end up doing.
