No. Waze is only as good as the wazers around you. When not many around it does you no good either. They compliment each other more than take the place of each other.

Not too many places these days that you don't at least have a 3G signal. Waze doesn't need much data.

I've used Waze on my last two trips...for a free app, one word: awesome. The more folks that are on it...the better it works!

This would be so awesome! I haven't used my in car Nav yet because using waze is just easier and shows cops/hazards

people are working on hacking the MFT. If you do a google search for it you'll find what the thread on xda developers. not much progress though

All the smart cruise controls, and accident avoidance systems are making radar detectors obsolete. Because they fill up the RF spectrum and generate a lot of false warnings.

I will still keep using one of my three detectors V1, Passport Maxx, or my Redline. Which ever one I choose. All three work great.

Waze doesn't help if they are mobile or off of main roads...but combined with a good radar it's another excellent tool in the box.

I just lock those frequencies out. Problem solved. ;)

I had never heard of Waze until I came across this thread. Just downloaded the app and will give it a try this week. Seems awesome.
