Spoke with a friend who still works at Ford in the Engineering Department I retired from. The Engine Department is being hit hard by the headcount reduction; stands to reason if the gas engines are on the way out. Word is, lots of skilled older people are leaving, others are disgruntled knowing it's just a matter of time for them as well. What does that mean for the build quality of any forthcoming V8? Good luck if you have one on order, who knows how this is all going to play out? Sorry for the negative post, but it doesn't hurt to be aware of such developments.
Well, their destroying themselves very quickly and for me, I have no sympathy for them at all. When 97% of the world drivers DO-NOT-WANT "EV" Vehicles, Just let them fall on their sword.

I'm so glad to see you enjoying people suffering. I know what your point is but, man, have some class.
No.

Also, you should consider blocking my posts. You just follow me from thread to thread attacking me, and it's exhausting to deal with.

Look, don't start a Post to get peoples opinions or concerns about EV or Gas Powered cars. I would suggest going to an EV car sight to do the cheerleading. People on this Forum are Gas Driven Engine People and so that is the choice WE -US have made, and so we are here on this site to enjoy them, talk about them ETC. I for one don't give a rats ass about a battery powered sewing machine engine car. Don't like them, Never will Own One. So That is My Opinion and probably most of the others on this forum. Just Saying. Don't get uptight or frustrated when people don't react or respond in the way you wanted/expected. Have a Nice Day

The numbers you posted show the there is actually a large percentage of people who would have an interest in owning an EV. But right now it’s not for everyone. That will change as the technology improves.
And Don't get me wrong. When the Auto Industry drops special interest group funding and actually designs, builds a Self Propulsion vehicle like a Hydrogen engine ETC, I would be up for that. But since I know how absolutely Hazardous Lithium Ion Batteries are to our environment, I could not in good conscience own one. But some day yes, when we move forward with technology, Im In like Flint!!.

I’m sorry you feel that way but that is not my intention. I have blocked a few folks because they were total a-holes but that is not you. Most of your posts have merit and I have no issue with them. But every now and then, we’ll you know what I mean. I just would like to see some civility on this forum.

By the way, if you really feel this way, you can ignore me.

Doug, this is an Internet forum. You made a statement of fact that I asked you to back up (I thought the “fix” was humorous). It could have been on any topic, this one happened to be about EV’s. You then proceeded to answer my post with information that actually refuted your statement. So I’m not the least uptight or frustrated.

And by the way, you do know that there are a number of members on here that own either EV’s and or hybrids. Just because you own a fire breathing V8 doesn’t preclude you from owning something different.

Well then, I am glad I posted my Facts which back up what I stated. Plus to be realistic, most people in this World could not afford them even if they wanted one.

Hello; I think he does the same for my posts. Had it happen recently in a different thread. He/she shows up and immediately tells others to ignore my posts. If he does as he tells others he will not see this post.

rising above... a heart warming story about how our beloved Mustang just missed being scrapped by no-vision, no-history of the car knowledge Ford exec's but enthusiast and a one Engineer with a few others made a difference for us today. Is is possible the S650 keeps the beat a going when the S550 has been called one of the best selling Pony cars ever?
