I think there was a post on this already but, anyone have the same problem.

I start my car usually warm, then there is a belt squeaking like noise around the drivers hood side.

makes it every time I start, then goes away once I rev it a little.

I want to see what you guys are going to say, before I take it in to the dealership.

I get that sometimes too. Not real loud and goes away. I actually think its my cooling fan squeaking. It only does it every so often, and not enough to bug me yet

Good Point, could be the fan. when I get home ill start the car with the hood open to see where the noise is coming from.

I wouldn't want this little noise problem to become a bigger problem down the road.

I have that too, everynow and then I'll hear that belt sound. A little rev and it goes away. Haven't bothered me enough to get it looked into, seen a few other v6s that do it too.

I have a manual transmission, and I have noticed this. I thought it was the throwout bearing initially, and didn't complain because it's still quieter than the whirring TOB in the ecoboost every time you press the pedal.

But, today it did it regardless of whether the clutch pedal was in or out. Once the cylinder head temp gets above about 120 it goes away, so I haven't worried much about it.

I believe the alternator on these engines uses a clutch (decoupler) driven pulley rather than a straight pulley, so my bet is on that.

Yes I do get that weird noise mostly during cold starts... Check my video below and see if it the same noise from engine bay.. ?

weird noise starts at 0.08 to 0.22 and once I rev it goes away.

It is the accessory drive belt. There is a TSB out there for the 2011-2013 modes for this exact issue. I had my dealer perform this TSB on my vehicle and it worked for about 25,000 miles.... It has recently started squeaking again.

Already took it to my dealer they can't replicate it, my 2012 v6 had the same noise for 3 years
