Hi everyone,

I recently noticed that when I go WOT with my car (2016 Mustang V6) the engine sounds a bit weird(kinda trumpety) The noise seems to be coming from the top of the engine, I wanna say the intake area. This noise comes only when WOT. If I wind up the car gradually(all the way to 5-6k rpm) it never shows up. It only happens if I go foot to the floor. Here are two clips I took today. The noise I refer to is the trumpety rasp that's coming when WOT. It almost sounds like I have a CAI. However, I have the stock airbox. One thing to note is that I replaced my spark plugs around 3-4k miles ago. But as far as install I followed the Shop Manual in terms of torque specs, etc.

Clip 1 -
Clip 2-

Has anyone have an idea what this could be? Any help is appreciated :)

You have to increase the volume a bit to hear it. It's kind of a rattly trumpet noise that it was not there a while ago. I'm pretty sure it's not the engine as the performance is not affected, no CELs or weird behavior of the engine, it's just something rattling in the engine bay that wasn't there before. It's the high pitched rattly sound . It's a little bit more obvious in the vertical video.

Found the issue, it was either the airbox that was loose(10mm) bolt or the breather tube that has a T-stand off of intake that was broken, I replaced it with a Zip tie that has a christmas tree clip, secured it to the intake. The noise is completely gone. It was creating such a ruckus when getting on it, it is a bit hard to hear it on the video, however in person, I thought something in the valvetrain was going out.
