Every time I turn the car on Sync 3 indexes the USB drive and my understanding is that it's only supposed to do this once or if it detects changes. This happens when the USB drive has been left in with no changes made to the files at all. It looks like everything is tagged correctly on a FAT32 formatted drive. Anyone else having this issue or am I wrong and it's supposed to index every time?

Same for me on Sync 2/MFT. Not always but at least twice a week. No changes, using an iPod touch.

using a cowon j3 mp3, its doing the same for me. switching to a usb stick since the car sees my mp3 and its incorporated sd card as two separate entities.

car media centers have come a long way but they really need to take notes from others and iron out all these small silly things.

I'm using a FAT32 formatted Sandisk USB with files arranged in /root/artists/album/songs format and don't experience that issue.
