I had my Samsung cord start acting up. Would charge but would randomly drop connection for Android Auto. Purchased a new Samsung cord and problem solved.

Both usb ports are not working, they did before the swap. Also the bezel one does not recogbize an usb drive.

Well, that certainly makes one wonder if everything was connected/turned on/programed correctly during the swap.

I also wonder if the OP was able to resolve their issue?

I left the old usb cables unused and connected the other two new ones. One going from the bezel to the usb port below the armrest and the other from the apim to the back of the same usb port as the other.
As I explained on the other post, i used different usb cables from the one indicated in the sync 3 swap guide, which i got from my local Ford dealer.
The usb hub i got from the same mustang i got the sync 3 so i think it works as the rest, that's why I'm putting the blame on me and those "wrong" usb cables.
