This is kind of a two part post.

So I'm rocking the Lund tune (which I'm very happy with) but the damn fans running 24/7 is annoying. So I'm considering going to a lower heat thermostat. I live in the south, so it gets pretty hot. Is there one that's better than the other? Is there any negatives?

Second, I couldn't find the post but someone said something about upgrading the injectors to 47s even without changing the fuel type will help. 6 holes vs 4. We don't have any E85 readily available here, but I might be able to talk Lund into doing a torco tune for me. Or I'll stock up on MS109. So if I came across some 47s for cheap, would it be worth adding to my car? I'd do the thermostat, fuel and injector tune revision at the same time.

I have a lund tune aswell, althought I'm also boosted. He recommended a new tstat as well but I dont think that its gonna have any effect on the fan. Mines on all the time too.

Thermostat will help with cylinder head temps. You will need to tell lund that you have the thermostat so that they have the fans to come on later because you have the thermostat.

Reische 170* is the best thermostat

Injectors wont really improve overall performance that much and aren't required for race gas. Really just a safety precaution if you can find a set not too expensive!

I have the Roush Phase 2 package and am moving to the 1050x's very soon. I would sell my current injectors if you are interested.

With a updated tune, it should help.

That's the brand I've been looking.

I'm wondering if they'll help at all since I'm shifting at 7700-7800 now.

Let me know what they are and price.

If you don't want to put in a lower thermostat you can request lund put the fans back at stock temps so they don't run constantly...

I thought about that, but running more efficient is the goal. I do all my own work, so it's not a big deal.
