Upgraded the 3.5 door speaker???

I thought the 3.5 was 8ohm? Is it really 4? I've been going nuts looking for a, 8ohm 3.5 with the right depth. Are they all 4ohm in the door and tweater then?

Like someone else said, the moment I think I have this figured out I learn something else.

If you have the 9 or 12 speaker Shaker system, then the speakers are all 2 ohms each.

I can't comment on the 6 speaker setup...

Mumbles,I am not sure where that info came from.I dug out the old speakers today just to make sure.

Front and rear 6.5" are both 4 ohm.

The tweeter and the midrange are both 8 ohm wired in parallel so the amp see's a 4 ohm load from all drivers.I did not bother to photo the mid.

I am not sure where the 2 ohm stuff came from,as I even thought that there were pictures posted here.Maybe some early cars?Not sure :shrug:

Could anyone say how the factory mids are powered in the 9 speaker setup? Is there an external amp for all speakers like in the shaker?

The 9 speaker system should be a Shaker as well. The lower door 6.5's are powered by a pair of channels and the 3.5's and tweeters are run in parallel off another pair of channels. The amp is located in the left side kick panel.
