catch can was my first mod went with MISHIMOTO. looks great in there & gives me a piece of mind. Also one of the lowest price mods you will put in your EB.

Adam I was thinking the same Oak has good food & beer selection second to none, something like 100 different types :clap2:
Great to hear! Thanks for picking up our catch can!

Made up my mind with the upgrade path I'm going to take which is best for me:

1)Catch can
2)Intercooler
3)Tune + sparkplugs
4)Intake
5)Downpipe

At the moment, I'm going to hold off on these two.

6)Exhaust
7)Springs

I'm in the same boat as you, it may take me sometime to accumulate the money for the mods. so a catch can will be my first mod.

I literally just ordered my Mishimoto Catch Can.

Thank you everyone for your input!!!
Sounds like you have it covered now! Thanks for the order. Let us know what you think once it arrives.

As fas as loading the tune, COBB's YouTube page has some tutorial videos I recommend watching. They have a lot of info regarding the device and how to use its features.
Will do!

See this thread for tuning options. Looks like if you have mods out of the gate, it would be included in your tune.

Thanks for the link, bookmarked it for later!!

Just like everyone mentioned above, you will communicate with me after you receive your accessport when purchased from us:

http://www.maperformance.com/2015-ford-mustang-ecoboost-accessport-by-cobb-tuning-ap3-for-003.html

From there I will make a tune for your modifications, and have you send me a datalog (I'll provide instructions on how to do so) and I will make sure everything looks correct and is performing as needed.

If you have any question, please drop me a pm!

Thank you,
Adam
Thanks Adam, learned a lot from your threads and post on this forum! When I'm ready for a tune, I will definitely PM you!

Also another quick question, what mods will help improve my mpg?

I'm currently avg 26-28mpg. It's like 80%hwy 20%street. I'm happy with the average I'm getting but jf I can squeeze alittle more mpg that would be awesome!

Now I've read that a tune + CAI may help with mpg, but that's if you don't change you driving style after the upgrades lol. more torque and Hp = heavy foot!

Driving style tends to make the biggest impact on fuel mileage. A tune should not make a significant impact on fuel mileage, although some have reported a slight increase. This will vary based on the tune in question. That being said, the tendency to get into the peddle is a bit higher when you are making more power, thus, fuel mileage can appear to suffer.

Few comments here....
1: DFI doesn't exist to suck out the fun. It makes it possible to run even more boost and timing than was possible before with port injection while improving efficiency. When the fuel is introduced to the intake charge, it vaporizes and in doing so cools the charge quite a lot. (Your ac system works on the same principle, vaporizing a fluid requires a lot of thermal energy go into said fluid). You can either have this happen in the port, or you can have it happen inside the combustion chamber. Myself, I would like it in the CC, where it can act where it's needed most to help prevent detonation. Down side being that intake valves don't get sprayed down with raw fuel. I have heard that the DI turbo motors that have the most carbon issues are ones that are either poorly maintained with cheap oil, or never get run hard and hot enough to burn off any accumulation. I know my 2.3 spends a lot of time at full boost approaching redline and she gets run hot and hard. We'll see, I guess. Some manufacturers are experimenting with a combination of DFI and port FI, as in some scenarios PFI can burn cleaner and it would help with carbon.
On the plus side, the cleaning service is something a reasonably competent mechanically inclined fellow can probably DIY.....

2: does anybody make a CAI that would improve flow and maybe sound but uses a good filter (like paper, not the cotton gauze that lets particles through) and shields the filter from water ingestion as well as the factory box? My car is my daily, and I live in Nebraska. When it storms, it STORMS. Had to navigate flooded roads and random patches of standing water the other day. Never drove through anything crazy deep but it's nice knowing Ford tested the stock box to be OK for driving while it's pouring.
