My priority is 10 as well. That doesnt mean anything i dont think. mine is S355, but I have priority 10 so its not stock.
production is full until 9/22 i think. So if you got your vin, you will be scheduled for a build date on or after 9/22. Some people today are seeing a build week of 10/6 so :shrug:So the build date won't show until 9/22, or the build date will be after 9/22?
Is this within Ford's dealership rules? According to my dealer, any car with a retail purchase agreement MUST be placed as a retail order. They refused to place my X-Plan order as stock due to this restriction.
^ This, it's completely up to the dealer weather to accept x-plan or not. It's actually very open. Ford leaves dealerships a whole lot of leeway. They could order a stock car and sell to you at x plan, or invoice, or even give it to you if they wanted. That's between you and the dealership. Ordering retail only puts your name on it from the day it's ordered. The price is still between you and the dealership.
Technically, even x plan participating dealers are not required to x plan the mustang, or even any ordered car. Those decision are strictly up to the dealer. X plan requirements are that it be chosen from dealer stock, and only things like fusions, trucks, etc. I don't remember the actual list. Disclaimer: it's been a long time since I read the rules from ford. Could very well have changed, but I don't think so since many people are not able to get x plan on same car from other dealers.
True! I am buying mine at invoice. You could buy stock with x-plan
That makes sense. Can anyone with a stock x plan order check on their dora and see if there is an X on order type? You guys don't understand. Yes any order can be sold at X plan price. But if a dealer puts the order in as an X-Plan order (order type: X) it is a retail order not stock. That is what mine is and I ordered May 20th. No VIN yet.

yes, when Tricia from ford service looked mine up she saw that it was ordered as x plan and priority 10 so mine was definitely ordered as retail. You guys don't understand. What my guy did for me (he's the fleet/ordering manager) is put my order in first as a stock order. Then he did a secondary order that he didn't put through as X-plan, just to give me a second dora with the x-plan price. That makes sense. Can anyone with a stock x plan order check on their dora and see if there is an X on order type?
