SRT challengers had ADMs 6 years ago!
They still produced as many as they could sell. Greedy dealers will always be a thing. If production is not limited there will always be some dealers selling at or below sticker. Dealers milk the Shelby's for every dollar they can. I seen a dealer put an ADM ($20k) on a damn v6 shelby Raptor. It's stupid.

That is what I am saying. Ford limits production of their special cars like the GT350 & GT500.
I am not sure what your definition is of a limited production car is but for the 8 years that Ford produced the GT500 they built ~47,000 GT500's over that period of time and would suggest that almost 6,000 cars per year was quite aggressive.

Over the last 3 MY's Ford has also produced 17,662 GT350/R's which is also getting close to 6000 cars per year.

If we compare those production numbers to what Chevrolet did with their 2 year production run of the 2014/2015 Z28's whereby I believe GM produced ~600 cars in the first year and ~2,600 cars during the second year therefore averaging only ~1,600 cars per year I would suggest that those could be considered limited production numbers compared to each of the Ford offerings.

During the 2 year run of the Boss 302's Ford also produced an average of ~4175 cars per year as well.

With Ford producing ~65,000 cars between the GT350/R's and the GT500's it is hard for me to consider them limited production cars but then again all subject to everyone's opinion of limited production.

Precisely. No telling how many GT500s will be available, but the 350/R don't fit the definition of limited production IMO.

IMO 'limited' is when you have more buyers than cars, and with new GT350s still sitting on lots for sale, well...

'Limited' would be a 93/95/200 Cobra R or the GT which is capped at 250 units per year.

You guys have a good point about the definition of limited production.

However the GT350R is a very limited production car no matter how you look at it.

When Ford came out with the first gen GT500 people paid big Adm’s. Now, those cars can be found for low 30s. Those guys who paid ADMs lost big money. The same is going to happen to the 14my GT 500s. When I sold my 09 with 30k miles 4yrs ago, i was able to get mid 30s but with Ford building so many cars the GT500 while special to us is no longer special to everyone. Some May hold their value in parts of the country but not so in other places.

In my opinion when Ford limits the number of GT350 and GT500 allocations a dealer gets, the car is essentially a limited production car.

I like to disassemble things.
I posted on this a few days ago elsewhere. The hood pins are a go. I hope they end up being black as shown on the revamped rendering.

looks like the hood was designed for both heat extraction and downforce. On the splitter comment it does look like in the newer pic it has receded (not as visible). Active aero may provide a different profile. 12 days and counting!

Good eye. I put this together to illustrate the differences between the two...
