[UPDATED] First 2020 Shelby GT500 Sold For $1.1MM at Barrett-Jackson

ADMs were driven by early adopters and a large volume of cross vehicle shoppers, by year two the ADM died dramaticlly. Now with year 4 looking there are ample 350s to go around and quite a few killer deals. Ford does not (nor do I or most enthusiast) want 350/500s sitting on lots like vettes not selling for 25% off MSRP!...neither do dealers.

Also, 350s sitting on lots create a lot of foot traffic and turn into GT sales, another plus for dealers.

Tried to search the thread but is there a specific time the GT500 is supposed to roll across the auction block this weekend? The new Supra will be there as well and they have said Saturday the 19th at 8:30 EST.

Usually the most expensive (and "for charity" production #1 cars) go across the block around that magic time..... Saturday between 8-9pm.

Someone has mentioned that the GT500 will be sold on Friday, not Saturday night. If so, probably between 8-9pm local AZ time.

Yeah I saw that date before too. I'll probably watch a couple of hours both nights.

I wonder what times zones are being quoted. I read 8:30 EST for the Supra so I'm guessing that's MST since that's the Scottsdale timezone. That makes it pretty late for the GT500 (10:30 EST). Though it seems weird that the lot numbers wouldn't be in order.

Yeah, I assume the time is localized to the auction TZ (so -2 hours for me in EST).

The lot numbers appear to be blocked off by some kind of category, i.e., today they're going along in the 1000s, then in the evening when all the specialty/one-off cars come up, they jump into the 3000s, then Sat they do the same - I noticed all the 3000 numbered auctions also have specifically allocated times.

I think all the 3000 Lots are the charity auctions as well, which is why they're scheduled with a specific time

The GT500 (and all the 3000 Lot cars) has a specifically scheduled auction time, 8:30p MST (see my post above).
