Just checked yesterday. My LE is still scheduled for 9/15. Though they said two normal GT orders were pushed to 9/18

As much as I would like to get my mustang soon, I'm perfectly happy waiting, gives me time to test drive and look at cars ensuring I'm getting the options i will be most happy with. As well as sell my gti. Also the longer it takes, the more potential rebates there will be :D

Based on all the info from various sources/threads on this site, I assume the timeline is something like this.

Week of 8/11 - Downtime
8/18 - Job 1
Week of 9/8 - OKTB - Will determine whether or not customer orders will start being built

Edit - per FiveLiterDreamer's info about the first LE being built on 9/8

and the more miles on your car (which means less money for trade in/sell). :(

I wouldn't see myself trading up anytime soon, the only thing i might consider is the gt350 but that might be priced outta what i'm willing to pay for a vehicle. I normally keep my vehicles for many years.

So a couple days ago my salesman emailed me and said they would have a 2015 Mustang on the lot for training on Thursday. So I went up there today, met with my salesman and look over the car. I am extremely impressed by it. He also told me that ford told him that they fully expect my car to be delivered in October. I ordered in mid July. He said they would be getting their first Mustangs on the lot in September.

I was told by my salesman that my order is in Job #2. Can anyone tell me what that actually means in regards to timeframe for a guy that is coming back to Ford after 20 years?

Searching the forum for that info was pretty fruitless.

Thanks!
Did you order a 2015 Mustang Convertible? If so, you have a good wait ahead of you since no JOB2 Production date has been released yet. If you Ordered a 2015 Mustang Fastback/Coupe, well, thats a different matter and (not) a JOB2 issue.

If you have a Fastback and it's a retail order (order type 1, priority 10-19), it's just a matter of scheduling being started again and putting them in their build-week buckets. So far, the only cars that have build weeks are the stock orders (order type 2, priority 20-29).

So, at least you don't have to wait until they determine when Job 2 will start. You'll get your cars before Spring for sure. I'd expect by Christmas.
