Ok ! So for me...this 68b thing is just getting ridiculous. I wish FORD was reading these forums. They must not be or they just don't care.

Why else wouldn't they update the web page to be more useful and or user frindly and less ambiguous?

The 68B option is only $395. So I might as well just skip it and keep the money.
FORD obviously doesn't need or wantit bad enough.

Now for the cherry on top...this guy is being told 5 months for until delivery.
That is FREAKIN RIDICULOUS my friends. That may also be a deal breaker for me. After all the hype and waiting...I feel like I've already owned the car and grown tired of it.

If I wait to see for myself the actually different options and configurations for this car without have to guess or use conjecture from forum users, which will be, according to the forums, not FORD mind you, sometime in September...15th ?

Then order the Mustang I want, only to be told I'll be able to take delivery sometime in Fedruary. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

I would exspect 6 to 8, maybe upto 10 weeks, but 5 months. Forget it!
I was told that mine would be delivered in early October, most likely the first week.

Not worried about it, I have patients. Now if it gets to be September and still says that, then I will be pissed off.
It will be at least until the 11/12th of Sep. I don't think that tracker updates live out of CONCEPTS, so you may even have to wait until Monday the 15th, then you can start to get agitated off.

Job 1 did start on the 14th but I don't believe this article has been posted yet and it coincides with an email i got from a dealer and my expected delivery date. I will put in a quote what i received from the dealer as well. Only the relevant stuff though.

"Hi Justin,

I checked into ordering a new 2015 Mustang and it looks like we can order one, but production won't happen until October."

Yeah, it is definitely posted...or was....around the day the threads blew up talking about the actual build dates. Not sure if you read it in its entirety but the reference of October is for the convertible. If that is what you are talking about

Yea I read it, and was more talking about actual production starting in September and then there was the last bit in there with the quote from Ford saying they have multiple dates and such. So really we still have no idea.

My manager where I work were talking about this yesterday as she's had her order in for about a month or so now AND she's already surrendered her 2013 Mustang on trade in so the vagueness on the production / delivery dates is really becoming irksome for her. Personally I'm waiting to test drive a car before I commit but it seemingly increasingly like there may not be any cars for that kind of thing until October or November which does seem strange indeed given sales typically sharply decline in the colder months for a "warm weather" car such as the Mustang.

That being said, I have suspicion Ford is having either some plant tooling or parts supply logistical issues that they're trying to iron out. Keep in mind FoMoCo has A LOT of irons in the fire going into the 2015 my w/ new roll outs two of which are VERY high profile w/ the Mustang and the F150, two vehicles which could be considered the bread 'n butter cornerstones for the company. If they have to delay a bit to make absolutely sure they get it right - essentially the anti-GM strategy - then that's probably a wise course. Once the vehicles start flowing and everyone is fat and happy w/ their new toys, no one will remember these hiccups a year from now.
