This came straight from a contact in technical sales at Koni-NA.

They just got a 16 GT in last week for testing and R&D for the application, they said it would be a while before we'll see them.

When I asked if they were going to hit the "late 2015" time frame on their site the reply was "It will be further out, they are not even into production yet."

I was really hoping to see something this year as I am waiting with cash in hand for something to improve the ride/handling of my 15 GT with PP. If no firm date comes out of Koni by December I will probably go ahead and buy one of the coil-over set-ups available at that time.

WOW...That is crazy to think they are this behind for a new platform like the S550 that is selling like hot cakes.

Agreed, I really think that they dropped the ball either by not anticipating the amount of enthusiast response or just waiting to long to develop. They seriously could have done what they are doing now over a year ago.

I guess youve never used ground controls.
Must not have. I emailed Ground Control back in February and they said they expected to have coilover conversions available this fall. So far, nothing .

They were probably going off what Koni was telling them. I have had Ground Control with Koni's on several of my M3's and they were excellent for daily driving with some HPDE and track days throughout the year. Between 2000 and 2007 I had everything from a $1,200 basic kit with single adjustable Koni's to a $2,400 kit with double adjustable Koni's rear shock mounts and camber plates.

I honestly can't remember anyone saying Koni was garbage, seriously. If they are good enough to be used as part of a system on a $120k Porsche for track work its more than adequate for a Mustang.

If Ground Control had a kit available now in the $2k range I'd already have ordered it. The ability to pick spring rates and options for a custom experience is invaluable.

Op ...I was at pony wars a few weeks ago and the koni rep was there. He said that they are testing and expects the shocks and struts to be release before the end of January.

I'd rather them properly develop and test before release. I've sworn off early adoption for a while.

They picked up my '16 2 weeks ago and had it for 3 days for testing. The engineer who borrowed the car said they expect the first production run to be available around February. They do have some of their prototypes out at SEMA this week, or at least were planning on it.

I've been in FL the past 2 weeks so hadn't found this thread yet.

I'm curious to know what the pricing is going to look like....?
I see a full set of 2014 (V6/GT/Boss) yellows around $840.00...and yep, a different car but........wonder if it were a $ indicator...
