I have had a 2019 GT for years now. And after the first couple of months the USB port in the front. Stopped connecting to Carplay when plugged in. I noticed that when I held the USB In place it would connect. So, I went and wrapped the USB end with 1 layer of electrical tape. And now it works stable again.

So. If you are like me and have disconnecting issues. Wrap it with some Electrical Tape and see how it works for you. It gets to be a tighttttttt fit. So be careful. Don't slam it in.

Thanks, but exactly WHAT did you wrap with tape?
The USB A end where the USB port is plugged in with. Wrap that end of the iPhone cable just once with electrical tape and plug it into the hub.
