random with nowhere to put it- ive successfully paid off 68k off my house in the last 15 months or so. I only owe 66k now left, and planning to have that paid off in next 8 months!

feels pretty good. it'll be paid off at about 7.5 years out of 30 year loan. granted my interest rate isn't that high, its just tax free gains so just doing it. once im done with that, then I will worry about investing.
Congrats. It is incredibly liberating to have zero debt, you will love it.

Thanks! I have legit worked 7 days a week since July last year. Just one more push and I’m done then I’m dropping my 2nd job, I picked up a 2nd job on my days off from first job. 3 12 hour shifts and on sundays I do a double 18 hour shift.
It’s funny, my normal work days are now my off days in feeling alone as it’s easier.

but I’ve grown used to it oddly, when I am not working, im finding myself bored as I have a lot of friends at my jobs.

anyway, hopefully in 8 months I can post a update saying “done!”

Health Crisis Linked to Migrants (msn.com)

Hello; I have had several conversations with folks about all the people entering the country lately. One thing that comes up often is how do we know if these folks are carrying disease. As I and so many others figured some are diseased.
We also talk about the other likelihood that some enter and plan to do harm.

Guess its too much to hope for that the falling anti-matter could take out the falling satellites.

Hello; this reply has little to do with your post but the post did trigger an old thought. Being old and having talked to other old folks one of the things we old folks dread is a lingering, long and miserable death. I use to say i hope to be hit by a truck after getting a bad diagnosis from a doctor.
I have changed my preferred way to go out in a hurry. Picture a jet airliner flying very high overhead. The contents of the toilet accidently get dumped and flash freeze as it falls thrfu the very cold air. I am out mowing my grass when hit by the frozen mass. Out I go. later when I am found the stuff has thawed out but i am covered by it. My regret being I will not get to see the faces of those investigating my demise nor read the obituary.

Being hit by falling space debris also works.

QUOTE Crazy Hippie - a post from a different thread.
"Wow, what a thread! The reality of COVID is very complex, but can be unravelled with a few facts:

1. Viruses exist in our environment and cannot be seen, heard, smelled, tasted or felt.
2. Some viruses are completely benign, others are lethal, and everything in between.
3. There is only one way to recover from a viral infection - your immune system has to defeat it. Some medications help, vaccines prime your immune system, but that's it.
4. Naturally acquired immunity is much, much more effective than immunity from a vaccine.

So, when you get the COVID (and everyone on the planet will get it eventually) and survive, you will have superior immunity if you never got vaccinated. This is a medical fact that has been largely supressed. Nor do the statistics fully evaluate just how many people got it mildly, and recovered without needing to see a doctor or otherwise reporting it. Because of this, the statistics grossly over estimated death rates.

Another fact that has been supressed is that the COVID respiratory collapse that we are all afraid of looks EXACTLY like what happens to otherwise ill/ older folks who get a strong case of the flu.

COVID is a common-cold related virus that hits you like a strong flu. Note that there is no effective vaccine for the common cold, and this predicts that a COVID vaccine will have very limited benefit. This is indeed the case.

In a free society, every person needs to understand the risks of such a virus, and make decisions about how to protect themselves and others. That includes decisions about social distancing, masks, Ivermectin therapy, vaccines and all the rest. WE DO NOT NEED A GOVERNMENT TO MAKE THOSE DECISIONS FOR US.

I have a very direct and personal role in manufacturing the most popular vaccine - anyone who has recieved that vaccine has been touched by my work, and the work of many of my colleagues. I have been vaccinated and boosted with that same vaccine. I have also contracted and recovered from COVID twice. That may be because I was vaccinated, or maybe not.

However, there are some additional facts about the vacvine that have emerged over time. I have already mentioned limited and temporary effectiveness. There are also many reports of myocarditis and other long-term negative consequences of getting these un-proven vaccines.

So for me, additional boosters are not going to happen. I've got strong immunity and I'm fairly healthy. Nor will I adhere to any more government recomendations, mandates, or the like. COVID is out there and it's not going away any time soon - that's just one of a multitude of risks of being alive, and I'm not going to willingly sacrifice quality of life being phobic about getting sick.

I respect each individal's personal choices and wish long, healthy lives for all good people, and good luck with your life's path with respect to COVID."

Hello; read this post in a different thread. Wanted to give the post more exposure as it is well written and has a message worth reading.
