Sorry for what happened. I'd be stunned, with a sense of hopelessness from the scale of it and attempting to control it.

The splitter on the Driver's side appears to some marks on it. The splitter seems OK. The belly pan covers a lot of the front. Something struck the cooler with a poking effect, through the front screen? But the screen appears to be intact. Striking a very deep pothole, with a significant jarring effect and breaking something loose?

Looks like you hit it harder than you thought you did.
It's very possible but as I think about it, turning the car is one of my fears with this M1. I am not that tall - 5'7" and I generally am seated low. I am scared of always messing this up. I still can't believe it; wife was in the car and we both couldn't believe this happening.

Is this the car for sale in your sig?
It was a long time back but I ended up driving it to Canada. I don't drive it much at all. Probably in 2 years next year, will have driven 8K or so. So I don't mind keeping it and driving it more. :)

I have dealt with a lot of worse things and generally very less things bother me, even getting fired 6 years back, i was like okay. Today, I was truly shocked. Deep down I was unsure if it was going to work out (though it always does). But definitely felt hopeless; there were people around me to help me, fire dept in Vancouver was super helpful; guys were joking with me while I pulled them from their real jobs.

Eventually it took about 6-7 hours to manage everything. This included:

1. 911-fire.
2. 2 towing companies coming in and telling me sorry they couldnt help because how low the car was.
3. Getting Hazmat located after hours.
4. Getting a 3rd towing company from 30 miles out and moving the car out to the street.
5. Getting Hazmat going in.

-x-

I will get cam footage from the apartment building and hotel to better understand what the hell happened.

Did you bottom out transitioning from the street into the parking garage? If so, the hotel may have some culpability in this (especially if the pavement grade going into the garage was off in a way that could have caused this). Keep us posted on how this shakes out.

I'm confused here. $4000, emergency called etc.

All I see is some oil leakage?

Speedy dry and a broom. Done.

Surprised they didn't shut down the country.

LOL was thinking the same thing. The firemen in the pic literally have this "wtf dude don't take my photo" reaction. 🤣

Only thing I am curious about is that oil splatter on the front chin spoiler. 🤔 How the F did that get up there? Nice Mach 1 though.

This. Who called 911 ?

Get some kitty litter in a store next door and clean it up. If I called 911 every time I spilled some oil in my garage, they'd build a station next to my house.

In these buildings EVERYTHING is ALWAYS a big deal. Y’all have no idea. :cwl:
On the other hand, the area needed to be secured immediately for liability issues….the hazmat deal beyond cleanup to avoid slip and fall claims might be a bit of over response for a surface that is in fact designed to accept automotive oil.

... sawdust? Happy to live in a less civilized country if that is what progressive civilization looks like.

Really sorry for the OP, must have been a bad moment.
