Some time tonight my Guard GT will pass perhaps within 50 miles of my house, in the Fidelio and on its way to Zeebrugge.
Collection then is a few weeks away yet.
Meanwhile, all the mod parts are here and ready to go: LED DRLs; Borla Sport Axle-Back exhaust; K & N Replacement Air Filter; rear Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres; and Ford Racing Oil/Air separator.

Which suddenly made me think of this end scene from a recent classic kids film. I wonder whether the parts 'know' they will soon be united with the machine?

In most cases your dealer can call the docks your car is at, and ask for it to be bought up, once done, it'll be bought up.

Now a spanner in the works is if the franchise has it's own mass holding, which if quicker, they'll bring the car too.

SO you car could go:

Docks -> holding -> dealership

The 'holding' bit, (Someone mentioned alan ford) is then controlled by that franchises central team to dispatch the cars as and when.

True, but my dealer's distribution ( vertu motors - bristol street ) is in Gloucester over the road from the showroom. As soon as it gets there, happy days but it's down to Ford to deliver it there and that's the hold up at the mo.

Yes they started to PDI it on Friday .

That's a long PDI session, my PDI took like 12 hours or something... and then it got recleaned/waxed/polish day before I picked it up.

Ohwell, who cares, you have a delivery date and it's not something absurd like 5 weeks away woooo!

I know he quote me that PDI can take up to 72 hrs
