Who's responsible for getting the car to the dealer? Ford or the dealer themselves?

I believe it's Ford themselves. when I went into the dealer on friday he phoned transport while I was there and they didn't even know it was in Liverpool, they thought it was on it's way to Southampton.
He said that Ford's systems are very slow and would check with them again on monday or tuesday.

25th is on my Dealers system but has been for some time. They haven't a clue mate & won't even know that it's in Liverpool. When it lands on their doorstep, they'll know & be able to deliver ahead of schedule.

My bets are on them arriving this weekend at dealers (or a bit before).

Mines been taxed by the Dealer with the new reg number meantime.

I think most of us have had the 25th June date quoted.

I emailed Stacey this morning to see if she had any info on transport schedules - not that I'm getting impatient, actually, yes, I'm getting impatient...

Nothing concrete but she did say that it was waiting to be checked before being taken to a compound to be loaded on a transporter - I guess that could be today or at any time in the next two weeks. 230 Mustangs went to Liverpool and 49 were on the Friday boat to Southampton, probably with the rest of the Edges etc.

If everyone is being quoted 25th then that's going to be a busy day for car transporters

Just off the phone to my dealership he called transport company and they have confirmed to him that my car has been lifted and should be into Belfast in the morning or definitely the following morning so looks like I should have it this week

Just been to my dealer (Eastleigh) to look at the RS with a friend; whilst there I asked about mine, since it's been 4 months since I ordered, and predictably, I've heard nothing. To my surprise, mine has a build date of July 11th... nice to know; and earlier than I expected (and to be honest, a little early as I'm still saving money). So, October/November then.. maybe.

Also, the RS is great.

I emailed the very efficient Stacey at [email protected] on Friday to see if there were any updates on my order, and she replied with the following:

Quote - I don’t have an update yet, but I can tell you that the builds have been submitted for July and the latest contract date is the 4th March, therefore your vehicle (being contracted on 14.03.16) will have an August build date - Unquote.

So on that basis, anybody whose dealer placed their order with the factory (or wherever they place it with officially) on or before 4th March 'should' have a July build date, and likely October/November delivery.

Looks like I'm going to be waiting until November/December... but plenty more time to save up for all the extra bits I'm planning to buy for it... and better add a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports to the list if I'm likely to get it just as the weather turns $hitty... hey-ho!

Mine told me 5 days to be honest as well.. it was up next day!! :lol:

Mine are adamant that it's down to Ford to deliver. Can't do no more.
