Just got an email back from [email protected] - my car is en-route to the docks, so hopefully it should be on a ship sometime next week.

Hi Slowhand,WWL track and trace.
Sadly I'm not; I was just using a dummy VIN to search. Mine hasn't shown up on the WWL system yet although it is built. Pleased for you though! You deserve to be well ahead of me as I didn't order til March. I'm hoping mine is on a train.Hi Slowhand,
You're on the same boat as me although mine discharged at 16:27 :first:

What you mean is you nicked someone else's VIN! (Sorry, that sounded bad). I should have done this ages ago and I could have basked in the glory of a car already deliveredSadly I'm not; I was just using a dummy VIN to search. Good news, assuming it's correct - see how the trust is goneJust got an email back from [email protected] - my car is en-route to the docks, so hopefully it should be on a ship sometime next week.![]()
Cheek! No, I do a search for 1FAT (first 4 digits for a vert). As long as you put the first 4 digits of a VIN in it pulls up a search. Works the same for 1FA6.What you mean is you nicked someone else's VIN!
Good question. Another good question is "what letter". I'm looking forward to a couple of moments with my 'dealer'.Has anyone actually been provided with their shipping information proactively (ie www.vesselfinder.com, as some of us were promised in "the letter")? Or have you all had to go ask for it?
A few buyers received what appears to have been a standard letter advising of delays but promising they'd do "what they could" to have the cars built by December. It went on to offer the olive branch of ship tracking information.Good question. Another good question is "what letter". I'm looking forward to a couple of moments with my 'dealer'.
1. When he rings me (:lolto tell me the car has been built/shipped/arrived and I say "yes, I know". Last info from him was that car will be built in March, and wasn't that good news! No, it was actually built in December.
2. When I tell him what I think of him, hopefully in front of his boss.
What bugs me most about the dealer is that I didn't place the order with the 'Mustang guy'. I placed the order with a really good young salesman who had treated me so well on a Mondeo test drive I went back and ordered the Mustang from him. He nearly fell off his chair. As soon as the order was in though, he's not allowed to deal with me.
I had a general update call from our dealer this week - to be fair to them, they've put a new team in place who have been good so far, but that is the first unprompted contact I've had in 12 months since ordering the car from either the dealer or Ford (excluding the standard letters that were sent to everyone)...Has anyone actually been provided with their shipping information proactively (ie www.vesselfinder.com, as some of us were promised in "the letter")? The only unprompted contact I've EVER had was last May when the stripes/painted roof became available...I had a general update call from our dealer this week - to be fair to them, they've put a new team in place who have been good so far, but that is the first unprompted contact I've had in 12 months since ordering the car from either the dealer or Ford (excluding the standard letters that were sent to everyone)...
My expectations of getting shipping info are quite low, but I'd love to be proved wrong!
That sounds about right! I've never had a test drive offer, come to think of it, and no launch invites either... Oh well, I had an hired EB convertible for a few days in the US in April, and I'd rather just wait until mine's here now to drive a V8.The only unprompted contact I've EVER had was last May when the stripes/painted roof became available...
I don't doubt I'd have received that letter but in actuality I contacted them and they said they were "just about to send it". And I did receive invites to launches in Liverpool and Edinburgh.
That's my thoughts too.Oh well, I had an hired EB convertible for a few days in the US in April, and I'd rather just wait until mine's here now to drive a V8.
Me too. I want to drive mine, not someone else's. Had an update this morning that I'm at the US docks awaiting allocation to a vessel. That's my thoughts too.
Why not both?Woo hoo! Just had a call - my car has arrived at the dealer (arrived in Zeebrugge on 11th December).
I had an appointment on Thursday morning to do the paper work on my private plate transfer, so I am picking it up then!
2 sleeps to go - I don't know whether this is a late Christmas present for 2015, or an early one for 2016!
