Car jacked up and on stands, I use 4!...and front tires removed ! ...Belly Pan OFF... drivers side is an existing hole below factory horn..I mounted 2 there. Pass side there is room but I’d did fab a small extension bracket! . I removed the rad cover as well....lots of room to work!!
Washer bottle is pass side....driver side you can see the factory horn! Passenger side I did from above. All wiring hidden in the trough that the red cover hides!! Neat as a pin and looks factory! That’s my friend, he’s the electrician...me, not so much with cars!! lmao!!

That looks very clean!

I was thinking of getting a Nautilus air horn. I have one installed on my motorcycle. It’s around 120 dB and it does wonders. I had to fab a bracket for it on my bike but I’m thinning there is a lot more room under the hood on the Mustang. I’ve also looked at some PIAA dual horns.

About half hour - 45 minutes, a little dexterity from the top without removing anything else. tip - unbolt the top horn until you bolt the bracket... much easier.
I ordered one from my local Ford Dealer, came in in 3 days for $28.89 including tax.

I had my Wife with long slender arms put in for me from under the hood..under a half hour.

1. Tape the "nut clip" to the frame it is attached to prior to #2.
2. Unscrew one 8mm sheet metal screw.
3.Let the horn drop slowly.
4. Unhook the power wire by depressing the tab with a small standard screwdriver.
5. SLAM THE OLD HORN WITH A HAMMER, THEN RECYCLE IT.
6.Hook up the power wire to the new horn. Test horn for beautiful noise.
7. Line up the new horn where it will be screwed in..there will less room now.
6. Screw in the 8mm sheet metal screw.

I'm liking the expressions of ease-in-installing by those who removed the airbox for the job. Can any offer tips for easy-airbox removal and replacement? 'Preciate it.
