It's not often that I get complements on the GT, but on the way home Friday I was at a traffic light waiting with the windows down and radio turned up. Heard something in the Explorer next to me. Turned down the radio, looked over and said "pardon me?" and driving the Explorer was a lady in her late '60's, early'70's with long straggly gray hair, "Oh honey, that is one beautiful car you have there!!" Thanked her and drove on....

Stopped at O'Reilly's Auto for something, and as I was leaving a lowered Lexus with an aftermarket exhaust (done nicely, not a fart can muffler welded on factory pipes) is stalking me as I'm approaching the GT. It was a younger guy that was apparently a local mechanic since he had his ASE certifications all up and down his sleeve. He too was going ape shit over the car.
I have to admit, Friday was the first time I got that "beg head" feeling over my car in the almost 6 months I have owned it. Funny thing was, it was as dirty as could be! Hadn't washed it in over a month due to all the rain/cold weather and being out of town.

I'm usually that guy going ape shit when I see an s550. Some guys get annoyed but most are really nice about it like yourself.

Yeah now that the weather is warmer and I have the windows down I generally have a chat with at least one person daily who wants to either compliment the car or ask about it.

Had an older lady in a new 428i convertible offer to trade cars lol. I politely declined. I try to be cool with people who just want to ask a question or two about the car. Even parked the car gets a lot of attention. The UPS guy stopped in front of my driveway since I had the garage open and wanted to talk.

I love my car...

My wife and I were at the grocery store...as I drove looking for an end spot to minimize having to park next to someone, and early 40's woman, gave me a big THUMBS UP and mouthed nice car.

My wife was like...did you see that? I told her i get that several times a week in this car. I dont think my wife was happy. :)

I get that all the time, in lowes parking lot, traffic, people rubbernecking in traffic to check the car out (I'd say 1 out of 4 points to the brembo calipers, lol)

I seem to get compliments every time I drive my GT.
Honestly, I think it is the yellow color as much as the Mustang.
My personal record was yesterday when I took it out of the garage once for a drive to have lunch with a few friends.
Put gas in it and two guys in an older Camry stopped to look at it and discuss the car the whole time I was pumping. Both were really excited about it.
While driving on the highway after getting fuel, some guy in a black Buick GNX turbo popped up beside me and wanted to do a quick race and gave me a thumbs up.
During lunch, our friend's grandchildren spent about 5 minutes looking it over and asking questions.

All this in a 2 hour time frame.

Pumping gas the other day I had 2 or 3 people walk up to me to compliment it or talk about what they like in the changes. I've had tons of people rubber neck while driving. I haven't garnered a lot of comments per say but I've gotten a lot of looks.

The best has been my good friend who has always had faster better performing cars than me who is constantly on the fence now to buy new turbos for his bmw or sell it for something else (he was a bit salty after he was behind at the top of 4th).

I got a nice tandem "DAMMMMN!" last night from the Dave and Busters valet drivers as I drove passed. (obviously didn't get valet, they always seem so bummed about that)

That's crazy you don't get compliments often in the gt...

I basically don't drive mine unless I have free time to spare for all those who want to chat. I'm one of those who believes that is part of what makes a good auto enthusiast, and it sure is not going to last forever like a ferrari so I may as well enjoy it while it lasts.

I have also received so many compliments as well...pretty cool to get some of these from high end car owners like porsche, vipers, etc...at the end of the day, we are all enthusiasts who appreciate auto greatness!!

While driving to work today doing about 45 a guy in an older f150 honked his horn, as I looked over he sped up to look at the front end, then he slowed down and shouted, "is that the new 2015?". I replied, "yeah." Then he said, "Nice as a muthafucka."
