As much as I like the look of the Stone and Saddle interiors seen to date, the 50th Anniversary car shows how it should really be done.

Keeping the outta portion of the seats and the headrests black, and giving a flash of colour on the doors, gives it a much more upmarket, premium feel.

The embossed Pony and "50 Years" logo, is the icing on the cake. The pony immediately brought to mind the optional pony seats from the '65 :)

I really hope we see this look used at some point. I guess we'd need to wait for the first refresh to see such changes, but I'm guessing their relatively easily implemented. The effect, though, is stunning.

Just by way of reference, and to remind us how much the Mustang's interior has improved in the last 10 years, look how clunky the '05 looks. I still love it, but S550 does it soooooooooooo much better :)

I agree that the effect is very nice in the 50th surfaces. I wish that the 50th anniversary package would have the same arrangement but with the saddle and stone colors. I am thinking it will be on solid color (black) instead.

I Agree 100%

I completely understand the economics of making the Base Color of the Interior Black, Door Panels, Trim, Console, Dash, Seatbacks, Etc. But there is No Reason to Only put Color on Just the Seat Facing but Nowhere Else. The Limited Edition shows how it Should Be Done across the board. But there is Hope on the Horizon. The Magnetic car from Beijing had a Red Interior much like the 2005 pictured above. It's clearly got Red Door Panel Inserts too. I just dont understand why we haven't seen any more pictures of it than this one?

BTW TwinTurbo I thought the same thing about the Embossed Pony on the 50th Limited Edition's Seats. I Loved those Original "Pony Package" seats from the 65 & 66 Mustangs.

I have this color combination in my car, it's very hard to keep clean, even my very old jeans stain the white/cream part. I now have a seat cover on my seat to try and stay ahead of trashing it.

Odd that this color combo keeps popping up!

Husker what's the point of having a nice seat if its covered like that? Not trying to be jerk just never understood that. Same with those who put the protective lamination (or worse those early 90s bras) over the front of their car to protect from stone chips. It looks worse than the stone chips to me.

And then sometimes the bra would run wear marks in the paint so you could never really take it off...

I love the 2 tone seats with the same color on the door inset. Have same on our '08 Calif Special, dark gray on the doors and outer edge of seats and dove (lite gray) on the seating area of the seats. Looks very sharp

Trust me, I like the look of the interior, but on this car, I'm currently driving, the white/cream colored part is a magnet for staining. I was having to clean it at least once a week. This is the 1st time, I've ever covered a seat, BTW, I only cover the drivers seat because I drive it every day.

I've owned many cars with White, Tan, Brown & Black interiors, this one is terrible to keep clean...Hopefully the Mustang will resist staining.

Ditto with my 11 GT/CS. I love that look.
