So how many people are crossing the S550 off their list because of this turning radius?

:clap2:Not me ! I'll just drive straight to the back of the parking lot and happily reverse into a spot in peace![]()
No more of this "I've got a good turning radius , I can park anywhere and do anything !" Crap.
Instead of looking for the best parking space up front , i can just put my mind at ease . No slinging the wheel to the left 100 times to park in that one spot....just head to the back, use the whole lot , reverse and park![]()
I always park far away from disrespectful "Door Bangers".I'll just drive straight to the back of the parking lot and happily reverse into a spot in peace![]()
That makes sense, and i can buy into that. Like i said i'm not crying foul over the lost turn radius. More like "dang we lost ground there. sure wish i could have kept that but i guess i have to give a little to gain a little"I was suggesting a solution that I personally implement that solves the problem my post was talking about.
I'm not happy about a larger turning radius, I'd like it to be smaller, but it's such a minor issue. I never made the oversteer claim, but if you want my take on it. Wider tires in the front grip better around corners, wider tires in the front can't turn as far without rubbing on something. So it's a minor loss of turning radius for a gain of front end grip.
I do. I guess following the "wtf are you talking about" with "im just messing with you" doesnt excuse it? I was really only kidding and had hoped that follow up would make that clear.Maybe you should follow your own post: http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php/tensions-are-getting-3343.html
Again here i was being silly. I don't see how you took that away from my post. Nothing you said used that type of wording. And it's not like you typed anything using huge words out of a thesaurus so that maybe you would have thought i was sarcastically making fun of you. I really dont know how you got that. Even more so at this point i wasnt even addressing you i was addressing Divinestrike... Not sure how you came to be offended by that."i dont take all day to back in. I whips it!" sounds a lot like your trying to make fun of me attempting to make my posts vocabulary more interesting. No hard feelings though, I'm solid with myself.
Good point here. I and other had a bit of tunnel vision. That can even back out. Got it.Maybe it does take twice as long to back in, 2-3sec to pull in forward vs 5sec to back in. but 2.5sec is still a fraction of time longer, and it's made up when leaving. I turn the wheel once to line myself up then back straight in while making slight corrections to the wheel to center myself.
I think it's a wonderful solution to many problems, Elderly women who are moments from death may take longer to back in, they do take longer when they back out in front of you. Your normal individual should have no problem.
@Divinestrike
I hope you can accept my sincerest apology. I meant no offense and was earnestly joking. I hope you can forgive my foolishness and hypocrisy.
P.S. there is no sarcasm in this message.
Its funny but I will watch people do this, proceed to park out in the boondocks myself and I still manage to beat them inside the door after they jack around looking for a "close" spot.:clap2:
I fucking hate when people drive around looking for a close spot... WHY? All lazy pieces of shit.
Back of lot forever!
It was clear you were joking with DS, and that was who your "I'm just messing with you" statement was toward, that was clear you were just joking with him.I do. I guess following the "wtf are you talking about" with "im just messing with you" doesnt excuse it? I was really only kidding and had hoped that follow up would make that clear.

that was the part that seemed aimed at my post:i dont take all day to back in. I whips it!
thats why I quoted that specific sentence.I once whipped into a parking spot backwards so fast, a guy in oncoming traffic gave me a thumbs up, why does it take a long time to back up?
[it just] sounds a lot like your trying to make fun of me attempting to make my posts vocabulary more interesting.
+1 :cheers:How did this turning radius even become an issue?
I have driven everything from MRAPs (yes Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) to Tractor trailers, Marine 7 Tons, duece and a halfs, 5 tons, HEMMTTs, M1 Tanks, Strykers, HMMWVs, cars, trucks, motorcycles, go-karts, skateboards and my naked feet.
Not once did the turning radius or lack thereof become an issue after that first initial drive. I could jump in anyone of those vehicles again and park and turn around with precision easily.
Considering we are going to be owning these Mustangs how will this really affect you after the first few drives. Once you know what your car can do there shouldn't be any situation where this "radius" will hinder you. I know exactly what I can do in my 6 Series. I haven't ran up on a parking space yet that I wanted to get in and couldn't. I haven't had to make all these adjustments to get in any spaces either.
For the life of me I really cannot understand how this turning radius is even a consideration on a Mustang.
OOOOOHHHHHH!!!!!!! I swear i was super confused. No it wasn't aimed at that though I'm sure, subconsciously, I got the idea from reading you post. Got it now.. that makes sense but now i was still just kidding with DS.thats why I quoted that specific sentence.
It ain't nothin' but a thing, chicken wing. It's all good![]()
Divine, that song gets stuck in my head so easily it's not even funny.
