Depends if it is the BPV freaking out, or compressor surge. Either way, the correct way to do it is to plug it, or to leave it alone.JLT CAI is the only mod I have... No flutter since I removed the filter from the tube. Is flutter really bad?
But it just started happening and the intake was done a year ago.It is the factory BPV opening and closing due to change in pressure in the charge system. The throttle is constantly active so when you add an intake your are exaggerating the sound. There are a few tune changes that can prevent it, but its never 100% solvable until you upgrade the BOV or Wastegate actuator.

I understand that. My post was confirming the source. What I'm curious about is why now? I've had the intake for a year.He said it was your intake, and now your saying that's where the sound is coming from. Pm him or ask on this thread, I think he found your problem
Ok thanks. I'll do some research on what BOV I should go with.It has nothing to do with the intake. You just hear it because you have an aftermarket intake. The stock intake muffles the sound so you wouldn't hear it. I think it's probably doing it now because it's cooler out and the stock bpv can't handle all the extra dense air
