They definitely stuffed 20 pounds of sh!t. In a 5 pound bag with these cars. I got tired of loading and unloading the race car. on and off the trailer. At 52. I just want to drive the bit*h. I don't want to spend 40 minute loading up at the end of the night. And it being a nitrous car. If I never do another ring job. As ling as I live. Itll be to soon.
I'm with you on the trailering part! Last several trips I've been skipping the trailer and just swapping slicks at the track. Even with my new little e-force 2300 install, I think I might roll the dice as long as I have a ride home, I can always go down and get her the next day. Cecil is only about an hour from stanky lanky!

I never noticed before that your a local. Im thinking about hitting Cecil in October. In the off chance. Their prep is better than Atcos. Need a new glory pass.

That's definitely a fast track but the prep is hit or miss unless it's a big event. I normally go down in the fall, maybe I'll get to see your 9 sec glory pass!:flag:

So true. At the ripe age of 36 I'm already getting tired of sweating my sack off working on shit, even worse when it's jacked up shit. Blower over the winter was long hours, but fun and not sweating buckets.

I can work on the race cars 12 hour days, they're easy. This car everything sucks to get to and get off.
Yea man im pulling my heads off in my carport. One thing i found out is when you have the valve covers off you can get all the top headers bolts easily from up top.But at 52 i just spend a couple hourz a day on it.Especially since its been 90 plus degrees.

Having the rear end apart multiple times..... I think something may be jacked in the wheel speed sensors or something. Traction control doesn't kick in playing around on the streets. Like at all sideways roasting the stock tires. No traction control light flashes, no power reduction, nothing. But there is also no warning lights or anything on. Anyone ever experience this?

[QUOTE="Jay-rod427, Even with my tc turned on i never see my tc light flash when the tires break loose but it does close the throttle when tc is left on and the wheels break loose.

I used to always see the burnout light flash, and feel the corresponding power kill. Now it will top fuel smoke the tires for as long as I can keep it straight.

Kind of puts a wrinkle in my plan to do a "walmart tire" race later this year. Was gonna let the tc do it's thing as it used to be way faster at recovering than the ole trusty drive by wire. I can't ever seem to make myself do a slow enough throttle blip that it actually stops wheel spin...... Need to look into a cable throttle body conversion. Start in 2nd sloooooooow roll into the throttle, and then prepare to cut throttle for the 2-3 shift.

Yea traction control is probably all but turned off in the tune. But the rev hang does make for hard throttle control.I think that can be tuned out also but most wont because you have tune out alot of torque management and its a liability.

Get a real tire and real axles and them cells should subside. Real tire: Mickey’s, in street ss form or R’s if you dare. Get the g-force 1500 hp axles, stay away from dss. Is your suspension hooked up? Also your alignment must be on point especially the rear alignment..

Gonna try to make a rip tomorrow night and hopefully the stars align and get a good clean pass in. Because after this weekend the car is getting returned to stock and sold. Time to build a real race car:rockon:
