I read somewhere that I do not need to put in a computer code for 18 to 19 Mustangs when ordering a tuner. Is this true or not? I'm at work and feel like ordering parts. NEED E85!

They need the code on the ECU to provide you with the proper tune, or set-up the tuner for your car.

Thanks. I know it was a dumb question but figured I'd go ahead and be dumb lol. Taking my bone stock 19 to the track tonight. It'll hit its 500th mile there.

Wait for more answers. I've answered based on my 2016, might be different with a 2019.

I know when you try to order from Lund they ask for a "Device Serial Number" which is an odd phrase. Steeda will email you a device that you can use to pull the Strategy code, then based on that Steeda will email you your tune.

I have a 19 and Lund just used my cars vin. 19s dont have that serial number visable like earlier models. I looked all over the computer before I asked the question and was told to provide the vin. Next day I was already data logging and reviewing tunes.

I've been a happy Ford Performance tune user on all my Mustangs except the current 2018 5.0. I'd have jumped all over a Ford Performance tune for this one, but either they don't offer one, or my seerch skills need renovation. I remember the time Ford Performance decided not to offer a Cold Air Intake for the '13 and '14 models, indicating thee factory solution would be difficult to make worthwhile improvements on. Could it be that the '18-'19 5.0 cars are tuned as well as that?
