Tuner device question

Has anyone had problems with the SCTX4 on 18+ cars? Tuning with Palm Beach Dyno on my 19 and I’m having nothing but issues, now I’m being told from my tuner that sct’s have been giving people a lot of problems if that’s the case why are they still supporting them?

I use a sct bdx on my 19. Never had any issues with it. Been switching tunes on it for over 2 years and 50k miles.

Hmm I wonder if maybe it’s something to do under the car, we did headers and a x pipe but everything was plugged backed up and nothing is making contact.

I’ve heard great things about them. Well if pbd can refund me I’ll go there until then they have to make it right.

We used the BDX on our 2018 GT early on and didn't have any issues. Eventually switched to an Ngauge as that's what Lund wanted us to use but SCT worked great before the switch.

Any chance your battery is running low while loading tunes ? Have you tried using a tender while loading ? Just a thought.

Gotcha. Pbd says the bdx’s work but all sct products have been hit or miss, they recommended me going hp tuners rtd

Hmm I haven’t thought that because the car has 15k miles, battery is basically brand new but I could give that a try.

I have a SCTX4 from PBD and have had no issues and I have been adding updates and changing tunes dozens of times with no issues.

Hmm I don’t know then now pbd is saying to get the hp tuners.. kinda disappointed in them considering they sell a sctx4 package and apparently it’s barley compatible with their tunes.

Yeah i got my SCTX4 from them with my tune package , have you done a update on the device before trying their tunes ??

Yup first thing I did when I unboxed the device was update it. But apparently according to my tuner it’s been hit or miss with the sctx4 when tuning 2018+

Hard to say on which end is the fail , but they have always went above and beyond all of my needs but I guess that's kinda easy to do when all goes well.
