hello,

I’m having issues loading any tunes onto my ECU, or returning my vehicle to stock (2018 s550) using an Ngauge or an SCT BDX. The tune fails to load, and returning the car to the stock tune fails as well. The dash is full of Service engine and other messages, I have no idea what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why were you trying to load the stock tune back - can you give us any additional background on the car?

So the car is extensively modded, 2018 a10 edelbrock stage 2 built trans fuel system e85. I got the car back from a transmission builder and the transmission was having intermittent problems where the clutches seemed to never fully engage which I couldn’t identify. I attempted to reload the tune that was on the car and the tune completely failed to load. I tried to return the car back to stock to reload the tune again, but that failed as well. I’m. I have no idea what to do with the car now, the ngauge also seems to be freezing intermittently when I’m trying to connect to the ECU, is it possible that the ECU is bad or something? As of now it’s completely hosed.

Why are you using 2 different tuning devices ? Load the Edelbrock tune that the supercherger came with & the device it was used on.

I thought maybe the Ngauge was messed up, so I tried the SCT BdX with the stock edelbrock tune to see if it was the Ngauge that was messing up, but it had the same problem. I can’t get any tunes to load, I have two tunes from PBD on the Ngauge and two from another tuner, none of them will load at all, neither will the car return to stock either. Is it possible the ECU has been damaged or compromised in some way?

Is battery voltage good? None of them like to cooperate if voltage is too low. I only mention because you said it was in the trans shop they could have left the ignition on for who knows how long.

I'd unhook the battery, put it on a charger for at least an hour then try again with the flash device you got from Edelbrock.

I already did that, the battery is fully charged and still nothing. the battery is brand new too.

I was hoping unhooking the battery would reset the PCM.

I think the only other option is take it to Ford and hope they can get it to take a stock tune, then flash yours so it will run.

I don't think I'd trust the Ngauge.
