Thanks guys. Ill go buy a battery charger and get the battery charged and see if that helps. I wonder if the battery being low would cause all those warnings on the dash that I was seeing yesterday and why the car wouldnt start. However those issues likely could have also been caused by the initial flash being interrupted by a low battery as well I suppose. Im praying that the issue was simply a low battery to begin with. Ill let you guys know how it goes once I charge the battery.

Once the battery charged and ready, should I reconnect the positive or negative first or does it not matter? Thanks for the help guys.

Definitely charge the battery, something is going on there. I haven't had this issue with my SCT, even doing more than one flash before starting the car (flash to stock, then flash tune)...but I've heard of other people having it.

I have the battery on a 15 amp black and decker battery charger. According to the charger, the battery was 100% dead. Ill give it a few hours to charge, checking it periodically, and see where that gets me. Im hoping all these issues were caused by a low battery. I also rewrote the tunes to the nGauge just in case. Ill keep you guys posted as things progress.

Update: The car has been on the charger about an hour and the battery seems to be holding the charge so far. Its at about 25-30% charged. Hopefully itll be done in another 2-3 hours.

The car is almost charged and ready to go. I was just wondering, what do you guys think would happen if the stock tune was erased when I attempted to tune the car the first time? When I was rewriting the Lund tunes to the ngauge, I noticed the "stock tunes" file was empty so Im wondering if the the ngauge deleted the stock tune and then the battery died before it had a chance to cop it or is that not how it works? Im just wondering what will happen if I attempt to retune the car when it basically has no stock tune? Will it just skip that step and allow the new tune to be installed?

from what you wrote earlier it didnt seem like the stock tune was saved on the ngauge so it probably was not deleted. i would just try and install the lund tune, and hopefully it finds and saves the stock tune to the ngauge. good luck and keep us posted

I would expect that it would not delete the stock tune until it confirmed copying it. Kind of a failsafe.

Success!! So I unplugged the charger when the battery was at about 90%. The ignition turned on and everything appeared normal again. I turned the car on and it came on but it sputtered a bit and then shut off. I started it up again and it sounded normal. Then I went through the process of tuning it again and it worked without a hitch! So fucking excited and relieved that something wasnt seriously wrong. Phew! Appreciate the help from you guys!

It's always the simple things that come back to bite you, lesson learned. I don't think anyone could fault you that you didn't know your battery was dead, you had just driven the car home from getting work done so in theory it should have been fine. The ngauge has some power settings within that you can change, but those thresholds are probably a part of what started your issue and then the repeated attempts and long time periods killed the battery.
Glad you got it worked out though, enjoy!

Awesome news! Glad it worked out for you!
Thanks, guys! And thanks again for the help. I was freaking out there for a while!

Exactly! I had no idea the battery was low enough to die during the first flash like that but the more I thought about it, the more the symptoms being caused by low battery made sense. When I first plugged in the battery charger, it showed my battery as being 100% dead. Definitely a lesson learned. If anything, at least I got a nice new Black & Decker battery charger out of it. Always a good thing to have on hand.
